Sunday .... I put it in your pocket ... Chaberton
beautiful sunny day for the third edition of Chaberton marathon on Sunday, August 1.
Fabrizio and his friends, whom I greet and thank them for their wonderful company, I have allowed my usual spiel of superstitious pre-race (coffee, bathroom, chat, group photos), we in fact arrived at Cesana with a well in advance, we prepared and we started at 8.
Among those present also several Orcs: Pino & Pino, Silvio, Steu ... thanks to them for the company.
From Cesana (1350 meters) down to Fenils (1250) and from here we start with the slope leading to the 3131 mt Chaberton: made up just over 3 hours that I personally have sawn the legs and that I brought along throughout the rest of the race.
equally hard descent, quite technical, almost all on debris, which led us to Claviere, arrival of k22.
Here Orc Pino refueling and eat 3 or 4 watermelons ...
The second half of the race saw us through three mountains, the less difficult but still quite challenging Chaberton: Chenaillet (2650), Gondran (2460) and Janus (2450) with their strong and fit the 'arrival at Montgenevre ...
